2. Is it Necessary To Pay for a Portfolio to Join a Model Agency?

A portfolio is a shoot done by a professional that includes hair and makeup, studio, photographer and is not a make over shoot. The purpose of a portfolio as a marketing tool is to present yourself to customers about how you look in a variety of styles. A good face shoot and a full length look are a must in all portfolios. We can't use your camera phone or any photos with friends to send to our customers. BTW, we do only minimal photoshop touch ups because your job is to look like yourself, we can't cheat our customers.

*Note- If you pay for the portfolio, the rights to the photograph are yours.

3. What About Grooming and Catwalk Lessons?

It is like any education that we uphold. You'll learn how to pose in a variety of outfits, and carry yourself well, including introducing yourself during casting and auditions. The catwalk will be useful for any shows such as hair, bridal and fashion shows. You will also learn fashion sense, what kind of makeup you should wear and how to dress for different jobs and projects. If you haven't taken any, the only way is through experiences like joining a beauty pageant. Which would be a faster way to learn modeling.

4. What is a Com-card and Why Do I Need One

A Comp-Card is a compilation of the best shoots in your portfolio. This is for composite cards and it needs to be updated from time to time for all your work. Nowadays printing is not necessary as it is a waste of money, so we have used e com card where you can print when needed.

5. What are Auditions and Castings?

This is an interview with the client after they have shortlisted you. Take your portfolio, composite card with you and dress as needed and match with appropriate makeup and hair – a must have when you go to auditions, castings and go-views. It is to be furnished on the demand of the customers. Please don't go unprepared and if you face any problem please inform your booker.

Dress Code:

Smart Casual, Formal, Sporty and etc.

The customer will normally keep a copy of your com card and take a picture of you for recording purposes. Make sure you have a pen and paper ready. Always ask the booker to repeat if the given instruction is not clear and the booker to repeat the given instructions; Things to bring, directions, name of the person in charge, time, place and dress code. You are responsible for the location of your own audition

6. Is it a Guarantee That I will Get a Job After Joining Your Agency?

It all depends on how well you look and present yourself in your portfolio and during auditions. You also need to try to maintain your beauty and body and work hard on your weakness. Be prepared to accept and deal with rejection. Some get a job in a month and some after 3 months.

7. Is It Too Late for Me To Start

It's never too old to model, even you're 33 and you look like 22. You can be 17 to 29 years old, depending on how you dress and present yourself. The normal age of girls is 17 to 35 years. For the male, this would be from the 18s to the 30s.

8. Is Modeling An Ugly Business?

No one is asking you to leave school or your current job because studies still come first. Many thought that modeling an ugly business and linking it to smoking, alcohol and drugs, but in reality, it gives you a lot of experience and opportunities. Your love will play an important role in your modeling career as long as you balance it well with your current occupation. It depends on you what do you want to learn? Speak well, have good body language, look nice and independent.

9. What Else Can I Do In Modeling?

You may have talent in hosting, acting, singing or dancing. If you decide to enter this field then this is the right path and a good step to start with. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, maybe you're not tall enough to walk the catwalk, but maybe you're good at posing and being photogenic or vice versa. Or you can be a very good promoter if you have good PR skills and are able to market the product you model for.

10. How Long Or How Far Can I Model?

I have seen girls grow from 16 years old to 29 years old. Age also depends on how good you are. Most models have a life span of about 8 to 12 years, it's not that they can't model anymore, but they have taken up a full-time job, further studies or settled down. Or if you do really well, you can model until your 30s. Of course, if you want to lose weight or improve your catwalk, posture or PR, do it.
